Technical notes
The turbocharger cartridge is the rotating core — shaft, compressor and turbine wheels and bearings — supplied as a balanced assembly that drops into the existing turbocharger housing. Because it spins at very high speed, the cartridge must arrive with a dynamic balancing certificate; an unbalanced core causes vibration, bearing failure and potential wheel contact. Order by the engine's part group and confirm the housing variant, and renew the oil feed and drain seals on fitting. Verify high-temperature gasket sets are included, and check shaft end-float before returning the engine to service.
