Technical notes
The friction clutch blocks transmit drive from the motor to the separator bowl at start-up, slipping initially to bring the high-inertia bowl up to speed gradually and then locking to drive it. The blocks wear with each start, and they must be renewed as a weight-matched set, because uneven block weights unbalance the clutch and induce bowl vibration that accelerates high-speed bearing and spindle wear. Order the set for the specific separator model and renew all blocks together; never mix worn and new blocks. Inspect the clutch drum and spindle bearing condition at the same service.
Compliance
Internal separator component outside MED/USCG scope; part of routine purifier overhaul. Supply traceability available on request.
